Information we collect
Information you provide may include destination searches, travel dates, guest counts, room preferences, guest names, email address, phone number, billing details, booking notes, support messages, cancellation requests, and other reservation-related information.
Payment-card information is collected and processed by our payment processors. We may receive a payment token, card brand, last four digits, billing contact information, transaction status, and fraud-prevention signals. Hotels50 does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
We may also collect technical and usage information such as IP address, device type, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location inferred from technical data, cookie identifiers, form interactions, and error logs.
How we collect information
We collect information directly from you when you search, book, call, submit a form, request support, manage a booking, or communicate with us. We may receive information from hotels, travel suppliers, payment processors, fraud-prevention services, analytics providers, and other service providers involved in operating the travel experience.
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, logs, and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, understand site usage, improve performance, and protect against misuse.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use first-party cookies and local storage for language and currency preferences, site functions, security, and advertising attribution. If you arrive through an advertisement, we may collect and store click identifiers such as gclid or msclkid, campaign parameters, landing and referring pages, and a randomly generated visitor identifier. Preference cookies may last up to one year, and the browser-side advertising attribution cookie may last up to 90 days. Local-storage records remain until they are cleared or replaced.
We use Google Analytics and PostHog to measure site use and improve our services. We also use fraud-prevention and risk-assessment providers, along with our Hotels50 comparison and advertising technology, to prevent fraud, measure advertising, and improve booking flows. These services may receive device and browser details, approximate location, page views, clicks and other interactions, diagnostic data, cookie or similar identifiers, and session-replay data where enabled. We may associate some analytics events with a booking or contact identifier after a transaction. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and PostHog's Privacy Policy.
If you arrive from a Microsoft advertisement, we may collect the Microsoft Click ID (msclkid) and related campaign and landing-page information for attribution. When we use Microsoft Advertising services, including Universal Event Tracking (UET) or conversion reporting, Microsoft may collect or receive personal data from you or us to provide Microsoft Advertising, including measurement, reporting and, where enabled, remarketing. Microsoft handles that data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
You can block or delete cookies and local-storage data through your browser settings; doing so may affect saved preferences and attribution. You may also use Privacy Choices to request any opt-out rights that apply to targeted advertising or data sharing where you live.

SMS messaging privacy
If you choose to receive SMS or MMS messages from Hotels50, we may use your mobile number and SMS consent status to send customer care, reservation, booking, account notification, and travel support messages. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data, SMS consent status, or mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for their promotional or marketing purposes. We may share this information only with service providers that help us deliver and operate messaging services, such as messaging platforms, carriers, and vendors acting on our behalf.
If you opt out of SMS messages, we may keep a record of that request so we can honor your preference and comply with messaging rules. Transactional emails, phone calls, or other non-SMS support messages may still be used when needed to provide booking services.
How we share information
We share information when needed to operate the travel service. This may include sharing booking and guest details with hotels, travel suppliers, payment processors, customer support providers, email and messaging providers, analytics providers, cloud hosting providers, fraud-prevention services, and professional advisors.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, security needs, chargeback handling, fraud investigation, rights enforcement, or a business transaction such as a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of assets.
We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose limited online activity information to analytics and advertising providers for measurement, fraud prevention and, where enabled and permitted, personalized advertising. Some privacy laws may consider certain personalized-advertising disclosures to be a "sale" or "sharing." Where applicable, you may request an opt out through Privacy Choices.
Privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out of certain sharing or targeted advertising, limitation of sensitive data use, or non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
To make a privacy request, visit Privacy Choices or Contact Us. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests, and some information may be retained where needed for booking records, legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, or other permitted purposes.
You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings and make applicable advertising opt-out requests through Privacy Choices. Marketing communications, if offered, will include a way to opt out of future marketing messages. Transactional booking and support messages may still be sent when needed to provide the service.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, complying with legal obligations, and improving the site. Retention periods may vary by data type, booking status, supplier requirements, and legal needs.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect traveler information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit access to information and protect it based on sensitivity and business need.
Children, international use, and updates
Hotels50 is intended for adults making travel arrangements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, please contact us so we can review the request.
Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy laws may differ depending on where you live.
We may update this policy as our services, suppliers, technology, or legal requirements change. Updated policies will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
